What a time…

May 18th, 2008 · No Comments

It’s been quite a while. I’m sorry to say that I’ve been so over-worked (I think that’s a good thing though) that blogging has been the furthest from my mind.

After spending the last few weekends working my socks off and trying to get my EV to behave I’ve decided to swallow some more funds by buying the rest of the batteries I need to make my car 100% reliable. At the moment she’s got 1/3 of a decent pack. It’s time I replaced the other 2/3 so that the whole car works better. Add to that the nice 50Ampere charger that I’m getting through the post this week and I’ll be back speeding (well as much as you can in a car that only does 45 mph!) round the highways and byways of Bristol.

Kate has been working her socks off as her company nears completion of the latest software release. Hopefully within two weeks I’ll get my girlfriend back once again. How long for is never something I’d like to speculate but I hope that this time it’ll be more than the two or three weekends of respite of the past two years.

There’s really very little else for me to say, other than I promise a proper post at some point soon. I’m writing this on a ten -year old laptop which had been forgotten at the back of Kate’s office. I’ve put Xubuntu on it, and it seems to be coping really well. If you’ve got an old machine you want to bring back to life you really do have to try it. I know Pyoor Kate was looking a while ago for a decent OS for her G3 laptop. Pyoor, Give Xubuntu a go :)

So, off to eat. Chicken Tonight (with some added veg I’ve slung in the pot) plus Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade….

Only the penitent shall pass eh? (I’ll give up now then :D)
